The Right to Privacy: A Global Issue

Ensuring, protecting and extending that right in a world of growing international collaboration between governments, police, and developers of surveillance technologies, however, is a vexing challenge. Addressing that challenge, human rights activists from throughout the world earlier this month issued The Madrid Privacy Declaration, which may well mark the prophetic tipping point in the emergence of a new global civil rights movement.
